I’m always excited to speak with business owners in New Zealand. To make sure we have a successful partnership together there are a few criteria you need to meet to ensure your business and my service are properly aligned and well suited to each other.
I would appreciate if you could review the criteria below before getting in touch.
The first criteria I have is that your business is not a new venture or startup. I’ve set this criteria because my SEO program is not designed to get new businesses off the ground, it’s designed to help established businesses grow their share of voice in search engines and eliminate competitors.
For this to work your business and domain should have been around for a couple of years or more with a steady base of clients or customers spending money with you.
If you’re a brand new business I have some great tips for how you should start out with SEO, which do not involve paying an agency to do what you easily could with little resources. If you’d like some tips to get your SEO going please get in touch.
I understand that my SEO service is not the cheapest out there, but I can assure you that we will make more impact with the right amount of resources behind our strategy over someone who is trying to work with a $300 SEO budget.
I won’t take your money to slap together some keyword research, optimise a few title tags and buy some links to your website. I will talk to you about your business goals and create an SEO strategy that is:
a) suitable for your products and services,
b) integrated to your other marketing activities and
c) aligned to your business objectives.
SEO can do so much more than get you rankings on search engines and this is where the real value or return on investment is often made. So all I ask is that you’re able to see the whole picture and consider all the different aspects of the business we have addressed while engaged together before you calculate your ROI.

I won’t take your money to slap together some keyword research, optimise a few title tags and buy some links to your website. I will talk to you about your business goals for 2022 and create an SEO strategy that is:

SEO can do so much more than get you rankings on search engines and this is where the real value or return on investment is often made. So all I ask is that you’re able to see the whole picture and consider all the different aspects of the business we have addressed while engaged together before you calculate your ROI.
First let’s talk about trust. I trust that you have more knowledge about your products, services and industry than I do. That is why I ask you to explain your business to me in as much detail as possible, so I can leverage your expertise when designing a strategy.
I ask that you offer the same trust of my expertise in SEO. I really enjoy when a client has some SEO knowledge and makes suggestions to complement the strategy we are tackling together. The only time this becomes an issue is when there are a lot of questions to answer about why we’re doing what we’re doing. It’s not an issue to answer these questions, it’s simply that the more time I have to spend justifying the direction of the strategy, the less time I can spend getting results.
So a little bit of trust will go a long way.
Secondly I ask that you allow me to see the project through to fruition. Although we do not lock clients into 12 month contracts like other agencies, we still ask that you give the work we do a chance to mature and grow. SEO results don’t happen overnight and sometimes require a half year or more to really hit their stride.
You’re always welcome to ask for an update on how things are tracking and when we can expect to see your rankings and leads start to grow. Though, my aim is that you will always be across this via reporting and regular conversations togther.
